Update from the Pastor
We are beginning to hear ways to move towards re-opening our building. As the governor said, this will not be a throwing of a switch, but rather a process. What we can expect is continued social distancing in public places, hand washing and sanitizing, and wearing of masks when you are not able to maintain social distance (6 feet). Transitioning out of this situation will be a slow process that will require respect and patience. We need to respect that for some this has been an emotional journey and may continue to be a journey that is challenged with fear from the unknowing. Some may not be able to venture out or feel safe doing so. The church will continue to provide on line services on both Facebook Live and Zoom.
To begin the process of getting ready for a safe transition we are forming a task group to address safety, technology, and logistical needs. The team has begun to form and we invite you to join us if you feel you are being called to help. Contact Rev. Bruce at email@example.com.
Our scripture reading last week was so appropriate for our journey to the next phase, “Do not let your heart be troubled. Believe in God, believe in me.” In this time of transition it is a time for us to turn to our faith. With confident hearts we can move forward in ways that are safe for everyone.
